The Sakya Investment Group is a trusted, well known and established business house of Nepal. The Group comprises 15 companies in four sectors; Hospitality, Travel & Tourism; Banking & Financial Institutions; Information Technology and Education. The group was founded by Mr. Basanta B. Sakya in the mid nineteenth century who changed paths from the jewelry business to the Hospitality industry when he went color blind.  Consequently, his son Mr. Yogendra B. Sakya joint the business and has taken the company from then owning a 10 room hotel to now solely owning and operating 5 budget hotels and 1 luxury resort.

The Hospitality industry is the core focus of the Group. But, the company now owns major promoter shares in the leading Financial and Banking Institutions, Education and the IT sector of Nepal. Furthermore, the Group continues to explore other sectors and avenues for growth.

Ace Hotels & Resorts, a group of hotels and resorts solely run, owned and operated by the Sakya Group. The company also holds major promoter shares in 2 major financial and banking institution of Nepal; The Ace Development Bank, where Mr. Yogendra Sakya holds the position of the Chairman & Nepal Investment Bank where he is a promoter and shareholder.
